The move toward sustainability in consumer premises equipment (CPE) is prompting operators to adopt eco-friendly practices. Standing out among consumers in Belgium as an environmentally friendly operator, Proximus is at the forefront with an ambitious program targeting net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.

Developed in collaboration with Vantiva, and built upon a decade of collaborative innovation, the Proximus V7c set-top box (STB) powered by Android TV™, is a beacon of sustainable STB technology. This eco-friendly STB launched in 2024 demonstrates significant environmental advancements in terms of carbon footprint, energy consumption, plastic use, and more.

In this case study, you’ll discover how this eco-friendly STB was achieved, and how this project can inspire and facilitate your shift towards more sustainable operations.
